| Don't let the groomer put anything on your dogs without you researching it first. My cats don't get vaccination yearly. It is always something jamn- always but don't let the groomer put anything on your dogs without you knowing what it is. I don't agree with yearly shots-just my thing-lol
Blue Dawn works wonders. Really, it does. The Original blue Dawn. The little bitters hate it. I just had too many dogs to keep up with the flea baths. (and crap I tried for so long before I used Advantage) Not that I got too many dogs-just the fleas were winning that battle. Bastards. I can't vacuum and bathe and dust and dry and boil blankets all at the same time. Those fleas must be drinking red bull.

| Sorry yorkie, just saw this this morning. Everyone has rabies vaccinations. I shouldn't have said NO vaccinations. They have had other vaccinations when they were puppies.(can't remember what they all were right now) The vet seems fine with just doing rabies every three years. Finnegan has all shots-he came that way. Robin and Keyper had more vaccinations than the others when they went in to be spayed. Two different vets with two different opinions, I prefer the vet who does the least amount of vaccinations as possible.
Nobody has had a problem leaving their dogs here yet. Their dogs have everything including Bordatella. (excuse my spelling, it's super early here) I don't require anything more than UTD vet records and now flea control program of some kind. (yearly check up kinda of thing) The fleas were a nightmare.

| Well, one beagle I watch regularly just gets rabies vaccination and nothing else. Senior boy and that's all his vet recommends for him.
I might have to rethink some of this as I get busier. Brooke comes tonight and she sees a vet every two months. (super paranoid owner-lol) She has every vaccination created. (some I've never even heard of)

| The dogs used to get the three year rabies shot now they've changed it to every year, same with the cats. I'm certain they picked up the fleas while at the vet. @ Jersey they have a sign on the door "If we find fleas while grooming we will treat them" Not sure why should I tell them not to jersey? I'm pretty sure they need a heartworm test before using revolution?? |

| Yes Mousey they do need to be checked for heartworm before using revolution
I would assume they will use front line which is a product I use often.

I'm pretty sure they need a heartworm test before using revolution?? If the groomer means they will use a flea shampoo, I'd still want to know what product they will be using on my dog. I worked at a Grooming place back in April and she used Hartz crap. Also, dollar store flea shampoo. http://www.hartz.com/Hartz_Products/Dog_Products/Flea_and_Tick_Control/Shampoos_Hartzflea/3270002406_hartz_ultraguard_plus.aspxDo some research on Phenothrin, not something I want used on my animals. Not sure what your groomer uses. I'd ask though.

| I didn't know Grooming Salons applied a flea preventative like Advantage to dogs. I know vets will use Capstar if an animal has a bad infestation but they normally call the owner to let them know. (usually owner is still there though when the tech finds the fleas) Most owners are happy to pay for the Capstar to remedy the problem-well, at least get a start on it. I brought Chandler to a grooming salon a few years ago and she used a flea shampoo on my dog. Not sure why as he didn't have fleas. I still think they were already in her grooming salon and she was just covering her ass just in case she sent me and Chandler home with fleas. She happily charged me 16.00 for a "flea treatment." Expensive cap full of some mysterious shampoo that I didn't ok. Pisses me off that they do that stuff. At the time poodle boy was only about 5 pounds and I know lot's of animals that small can have serious side effects from the chemicals and pesticides in those shampoos. I know, my mama bear attitude went into over drive that day. I seriously don't think asking before you do anything that I did not ok to my dog is too much to ask for.
How are you making out jamn?

| My truck tried to kill me on Thursday. Came up to a stop sign and it wouldn't stop. Almost shit my pants. Not sure how or why but it stopped in the middle of the intersection. (right lane-totally side ways) Cars zooming all around me, I jumped out and a lady stopped to help me. (she was brave, she started it up and moved it out of the middle of the road.) Truck is home now but I don't have a vehicle. and do you think I could find the dang hazard lights?? Nope. | |

| Jersey I just remember seeing a sign on the door saying if we find fleas we will use advantage, my groomer is affiliated with the vet, same place. I think it's a good idea as Advantage kills fleas right away. Rocky gets groomed tomorrow, Ruby on Fri. so we'll see what she finds. I have given Rocky two baths since I found the flea and didn't see anything on him. I'm thinking it's the cats that have them and me.... I've checked the animals and so far only saw the one flea. Holy Cow jersey get your brakes checked A.S.A.P. |

| Good Morning everyone. Chilly day here today. Got my wood ordered for the winter-finally. I have a fella coming to look at my truck tonight to see if he can fix it. Expensive day and it's just after 9 am. Stared watching Under The Dome on Tuesday. So far it's ok. Three episodes in now. Anyone else watch it?

| Good Morning,
Nice and sunny here today. Doing some house cleaning this morning. This afternoon is poodle bathing. Ribs cooking in a big pot for dinner tonight.
Got my truck looked at last night. Don't think he knows what he's doing, he'll be back tonight to look confused again-lol (I don't care any more, Cory can deal with it)
What's everyone else up too?
