Hot Diggity Dogs.................at the Halifax Gay Pride Parade !!

And something I was particularly pleased too see........

Nice pics. There were a lot of dogs in that parade. It was a nice to see the support of a church in that parade.

The second pic (red T shirts) show Scott Brison, Liberal MP from Nova Scotia, who married his long time partner in 2007. When BSL became a near reality here I sent an email to him (as did many others) and he took the time to locate my phone number and spent almost an hour on the phone discussing the issue. His sister owns a rottie and he was well aware of the insanity of the proposal. I was thrilled when the bill was garbaged before it reached the floor of the House.

BBE, I'm proud of the church (United) that I grew up in....it has continually shown itself to be inclusive and welcoming. As for the dogs, I don't think I've ever seen any parade, at least here in NS, that included so many canine friends. As much as I may bitch about my own provinces faults, it does have some redeeming qualities.

Halifax seems to be lacking in the gay pride parade fashions we see here. :lol:

Haha, I concentrated on doggy pics........but there were definite fashion statements made as well! Seeing the wide range of parade participants from stroller riding wee ones to snow topped seniors was amazing. It was a true family affair for all.

This was a parade you could take your grandmother or granddaughter to , mostly people showing their pride and support. With a few divas drawing oohs, aahs and applause.

I love seeing this... makes me so proud. Now if only all of the world would learn that we are all people no matter who we love.
