| Perenials? Just tell me if you want some purple/yellow Iris. Pretty when it flowers but kind of plain when it's done.
Maybe a nice flowering tree/bush? I have some Rose of Sharon I'll be digging up soon.

| Yep, for the most part that is the goal. I'm sure there will be small things to plant every year as well. I guess I'll know about as soon as you will. | |

We're up for any freebies UM. My mom will work with what we can get, it's never too much or too little. Edit: I asked my mom and she was all for it UM.

This is a good thing miss key. At least WHEN I find a job, I won't be totally messed up since I'm actually doing something these days.

| Yes he is, LOL.
I have to dig this stuff up anyway, perennials tend to spread a bit where you don't want them to.
Let me just run out and get some pictures, half the stuff I've forgotten the names for!

| No rush UM. I think we're heading out to the grocery and plant stores in a few minutes. I'll show them to her when we get back if you have them posted. | |

| I love Rose of Sharon as well, but they sure do spread! They are lovely though, they flower pretty well constantly and attract Hummingbirds. I'd send you some if I could Yorkie, really is a shame to just dig them up (and yes, friends, family, and neighbours have all got some, LOL).
Only problem is that perennials don't tend to flower the first (and sometimes not the second) year you plant them, so filling in with annuals is a good idea for a new garden.

| Please ignore the weeds, we really need to get out there. The tall thing front and centre is a young Rose of Sharon. It won't flower this year but it might next year. Variegated stuff is some kind of pseudo vine that came in a pot that fell over into the garden. Green plant with the pretty pink flowers is a type of natural Geranium, very pretty but smothering my Lillys. More of that Geranium, plus the Iris (not flowering yet). Iris isn't doing well there and I have no place else for it. More of the Geranium. Wouldn't mind if the darned thing would grow on both sides. There's some Russian Sage that is pretty persistent. I moved it into a back corner but it still shows up here anyway. Yellow/green plant is a variety of Sedum, it's actually a stepable succulent that grows on top of the rocks. It's almost set to flower now, pretty low yellow flower. So there you have it. Rose of Sharon Variegated pseudo ivy thing Natural Geranium Iris Russian Sage Sedum If I were you I'd centre the garden around the Rose of Sharons with some Geranium underneath, filling in the space left with the ivy thing, some sedum, and some annuals. As much as I love the Russian Sage, it can grow huge and out of control. The beauty of it is the purple flowers. They smell just beautiful! I could always tell when the kids were playing in the rock garden because they'd brush up against the thing and come in smelling all pretty. I'll see if I can find any pictures of this stuff in bloom. | |

| Wait a sec, the "UM Area", that mostly shaded? Everything I've shown is mostly sun, but I've got a fair bit of stuff for shade. As well, you'll need to leave access for your gas meters.
Honestly, if you guys saw how overgrown my gardens are, you wouldn't be surprised that I'm willing to dig it up and give it away, LOL. It is getting dug up anyway, so Fleas may as well use what he can. I used to belong to a plant swap group but man, just got too much!
Fleas, are you still driving or do you want me to pop the stuff over there? I won't be able to get out your way probably until Sunday
