Found this in my garden, Google says it's a slime mold aka dog vomit mold (because it looks like vomit) not caused my dogs. anyone else have it in their gardens.

Never had it but it looks awful,any answers on how to get rid of it? or what causes it Moisture perhaps?

I googled too. The page I found was kind of amusing and said that the fungus is pretty much harmless, *phew*. I've never had it, but I'd probably live and let live. The areas I have mulched are kind of Dead Man's Zones anyway, so I'd call it a colourful accent fungus to make people think I meant it to be there, LOL.

Yea they say it's harmless and will go away on it's own. I never had it last year but used a different mulch this year.

I know it wasn't cedar but I still have a few bags outside I'll check later when I go out.

I use the same stuff year after year and it is always the cedar,bought 85 bags this year will use them all before I am done with the season
