Calling all rat people (that's you UM)

I said no more rats and I have a rat.
I have no clue what this big rat is, other then a rat.
If I show you some pics, can you tell me what you think?
Do I have a domestic rat or did I just let a really nice lady drop off a wild rat?
They call him Vermin.
(I actually thought that was kinda cute)

IDK, I'm scared of rodents. But don't mind looking at them from a far.

I should be able to tell you if you post some photos. Either way, pet rats and most wild rats are the same species.

I got a bit more info on him.

Another friend breeds them, came from two Siamese looking rats. Don't worry you're not boring me. I'm an animal lover by nature. I have multiple lizards and tarantulas and dogs. Sort of an animal hoarder.

I don't think she means hoarder in the bad way.
She took the rat from a fella who was going to let it go.

This fella is huge but no goodies.
Preggo?

a friend was just going to let it go and she took it.
I'm thinking he never had any handling.
and he is a one rat fella...not ideal.
He is nippy with me but not trying to break the skin.

Fangs all mighty though. 

Wild Rats contains parasites, which is why wild rats urine and droppings is poisonous

He is not a wild rat.
Was hard to tell at first as he was in a cage all bunched up in shavings.
I have him in a new cage with some of his old stuff and he is a charmer.
Still wants to bite at me but you can tell he doesn't really want too.
He's just scared.

If you saw him at first-you'd wonder.
all puffed up and nasty looking.

Now, asleep in pile of Kleenex.
I'll get him proper bedding but for now it works.
He is kinda nice in a snotty little nippy way.
He put his paw on my thumb and licked me.
I have passed the taste test, I think.
