| This was kinda what my garden looked like this morning: The other side was the same, without the rocks. Basically it was all grass and/or dirt. After phase 1 of our work, this is what we have:

| Thanks ladies!
Normally we just stick to the small area where the rocks were, so this turned into a back breaking chore. We plan to plant flowers at some point, but I'm not sure my body can handle it right now.
We plan to finish the other sides that aren't in the pics as well, so I'll update as we go. Who has the back pain reliever?

| Wifey is at work actually, my mom and I did this. I doubt wifey would have any sort of energy for anything of this magnitude right now.
I do all the grunt work, they make it happen (or guide me to make it happen, lol).

| Looking good Fleas!!! That will looks so nice once you get something in there. I suggest some low maintenance stuff like hostas. Too bad you live far, I have an abundance of hostas. | |

| Thanks KC! Considering I didn't know what a hosta was other than hearing we planted a few last year, I hear it a lot lately.
Feel free to come drop a few off if you like.

| I think it was Jers. We were told after I started taking it down that I wasnt allowed, but it was too late and it was half dead to begin with. We are going to put up a couple of taller ones for a bit of privacy. | |

| I think in the 4th pic there is a small hosta KC. I could be wrong....or it may have gone in after I took the pic. | |

| Here's a variegated hosta (green/white). There are different varieties but the shape is the same. And it's about the only thing in my yard that isn't bothered by weeds. It's growing in pretty crappy soil and gets sun from mid morning till it goes down at night. | |

| I have a few varieties of hostas but those ones are my faves. They grow like weeds and require very little maintenance. | |

Thanks BBE! Think the only issue now may be money to finish the job. It'll get done, but when is the big question.

| Fleas, When we first moved into this house, I really wanted a garden but money was tight. Well, still is but I found these at the Dollar Store. (a similar product) http://www.vflora.com/index.php/going-wild-the-eco-garden/seed-shakers/p_65.htmlThey were the same size shaker containers though. I also saw them at Wal-Mart. I bought two cans and shook them all over the dirt. They grew and were really pretty. Cost was under 5.00. | |

| That's my type of gardening, lol. Unfortunately my mom wants specific things so I'm kind of at her mercy. I'm going to hit the grocery store and see what's left and run with it. I'd like to at least get something started. | |
