| So meet Indy & Penelope: They're sisters, can't remember how old, unfortunately. When we got them a week ago they were the size of mice on steroids. Now they're bigger. The one on the left (Penelope) is a regular rat and on the right (Indy) is a Dumbo. Funny, unless they're side by side I can't tell them apart from appearance, but I can from personality.

| Congratulations on the new additions. I will have to check out the pic later tonight as it's blocked at work. Not a pet that I could do, have a phobia of them. lol | |

| Beautiful little Ratties! Blues are gorgeous, and I adore Dumbo ears. I kept Rats for years, and even did some rescue. They're AMAZING pets. | |

They are so cute!
When I was a kid I used to keep hamsters and I loved it, I have been dabbling with getting my 11 year old a rat but I am afraid my cats would eat it, but I have heard they make great pets and you can train them to do all kinds of stuff.
I am very jealous!

| They are cute. I know that my cats would attempt murder so I can't have any.. plus I'm a little weirded out by them. | |

I am very jealous! As long as the Rats and Kitties can enjoy separate free-range time, and you provide a secure cage (read: Not plastic, no aquariums, with proper bar spacing) both species can enjoy co-habitation. My Cats were actually afraid of the Rats.

+1 Only because I have a phobia of rodents. They do have a pretty colouring to them though.
