One of Those Unusal Days ~ LOL

We live near what used to be a small town but has blossomed into a city in the 30 plus years we have been here. What was always a big deal was the annual rodeo still is...the parade, the beer gardens, and one of those roving carnivals that travel the circuits. We once were heavily into rodeo, I barrel raced and my hubby, myself and our pro rodeo friends would do the fundraiser businessmen's events like wild cow milking and calf tying etc.

We haven't been involved in the rodeo for years but today we got a phone call (we have an automotive business) about an emergency. The rodeo clown from Helena Montana broke the tyranny in his model T looking bastardised clown car. His stint is to do wheelies and bang it into gear and lift the wheels and then flick on the sirens and lights. Being that the running gear is all oddball and the tyranny is an FMX from an 1988 Thunderbird we had to turn it down...not touching that at all as he needs to be in BC next weekend. LOL to even find what he needs would take longer than a week. Sadly the poor clown is going to be without wheels for a bit I think, I'm sure he'll come up with some other entertaining antics. Just a weird day in the life that is ours... this one event is very popular but if a person such as myself enters the city limits on horseback they would get a fine as horses are not allowed within city limits, weird huh.

that you got the call but ya Parts take time especially in a smaller town. That also sucks about not taking the Horses into town as where I live in the heart of Toronto there used to be this guy that brought a Pony around every Summer for pics with the kids and somehow he got away with it. You'd think with a smaller town it would be a non-issue and to think about a law against it seems kind of ridiculous (that don't look right but im still nursing my first coffee lol) especially in a smaller town.

Also cool that you did the rodeo do you miss it at all? Do you still go into town to watch the shows,socialise and such? That sounds like so much fun. I've always loved Horses learned to ride young and was a big part of our transportation for Parties,socialising and even Babysitting LOL when you live in the middle of nowhere back then it was either Horseback,Snowmobile or walking LOL

Luckily I have a friend with Horses and have been able to share the love of Horses with my Dd who also is a big horse lover LOL.

That is a weird day. Hopefully the clown finds a bigger city that can fix his car.

Nope we haven't gone to watch for years, participate or nothing kind of girl with a competative nature. I still coach and give riding lessons...have coached at least 5 winning Rodeo Queens for the horsemanship part of their competition. Really don't care for country music but we did find ourselves many times singing this one when it first came out heading out in the early mornings in the dark but mostly to horse shows.
