Anyone else new to allergies?

I'm just wondering how many others have gone all of their life with no allergies to all of a sudden have a few issues as age creeps up? I never had allergies till in my mid thirties and now I can no longer eat peanuts, I get hives around this time of year when my dogs lick me and I have terrible allergies when things start blooming.
