| Nope, I've never heard of that. Is your dog allergic to spearmint? | |

| It's possible. A friend's Boxer is allergic to chicken protein and any grains in dog food. So she puts her dog on a grain free kibble that doesn't have any chicken protein in it. | |

...just curious to know, what makes you think your dog is allergic to the spearmint/peppermint plants? What is the behaviour? What is the scenario (when the allergy is displayed)?

| When I let all 6 dogs' out in the morning, the 2 pups go down to the end of the yard where the mint is growing. I have watched them run through it but didn't think it was a problem. When they come back in they have puffy faces and swollen eyes. I think it may be the mint. I am amazed at how quickly their faces puff up.

Ahhh...ok...now that does make sense! Do you have any other vegetation in the yard? If not, it might well be a definite allergy to the mint. Never heard of that before, but crazy how dogs can react to things.
