Most Hated Baby Names

Here is a link to an article put together using discussions, forums, responses and an informal survey. Nothing about this is scientific but it is interesting none the less.

I apologize if anyone named their children any of these names. HA HA

Most of them I agree with but a few of them I actually like.

I can't stand Jayden.. I have a friend who named her son that and I can't stand it. I also can't stand Qaleb... such bullshit.

Eeek. I thought Caleb was bad enough. But add a Q and it just became 10X worse.

My kids all got one syllable names ......easy to spell, easy to remember and soooo much easier to bark when mom is pissed.

Mind you three of them are shortened versions of what is on their birth certificate, but the short version is what we wanted (long version is their option, which none have chosen)

If I could have picked my name, I would have picked the one my mom gave me.
My niece gave me a different version of it when she was learning to talk and I have been that name for 17 years.
My mom calls me that new version too.
The odd time someone calls me by my given name I don't listen (or seem to hear it)
My "new" name stuck.

I think the only name that I really dislike (sorry if anyone is named this) is Britney.
I lived in an apartment complex years ago and there was a mother always screaming BRITNEY stop it.
Drove me nuts.

My dad still thinks my middle name is Diana.
My mom changed it at the last second.

My best friend's brother was named Brian........his poor dad (overtired and trying to deal with mom in labor and the 4 or 5 kids that were at home) filled out the birth certificate.........Brain. :lol:

my baby girl is on that list.. HA HA HA HA.. but it is spelt differently... LMFAO.. I like her name.. it suits her.. other then I don't think I could get away with calling her devil child

None of my kids names are on the list. But some of those names I think are really cute. If I had a daughter, I was going to name her Mackenzie. So glad that I didn't, though I like the name, there are too many little girls with that name now.

I never understood the heaven spelled backwards name. It makes me think of when old crazy people used to say Led Zepplin played backwards was the devils music. For example Stairway to Heaven. Then people started to spell heaven backward. Seems weird to me. And how is it pronounced? I have never heard anyone say it.

my mom and I were talking about names the other day she said she thinks we all should have been numbered until we were old enough to choose our own names because most people don't like what their parents chose. I have a friend who named their daughter Taylor but decided to go with her middle name just after she was born....her name is now Rogue, I think that is just awful.

I like the name Jaylyn short for Jamie Lyn but that is because it would be a combination of mine and hubbies names.
I'm not sure how my son will feel about his name or what people will end up calling him later in life. His name is William and we have not shortened it. We planned on shortening it to Liam but we just never did. Right now if anyone calls him anything but William he corrects them, my daughter calls him "Minium" that's the best that she can pronounce it right now :lol:


I hate my full name but I am glad I was not called Britney, my mom likes that, I hate it worse then my name now. My dad wanted to call me Julie which isn't bad.

I almost named my daughter Makayla but the day she was born I changed it to Morgan. My son's name is Dominik.
