Sorry, This is a long one, I thought Kijiji was bad, I can't stand dealing with this other local site. All they want is ass kissing from their users. I had posted a simple ad selling a few of my baby bonnets, which i find out later is against their rules. Crafts are not allowed, ooops sorry. They had deleted my ad so i tired to pm them and i thought it didn't go through so i posted this........
------------
Can someone please email me back about my deleted ad. thanks
I don't post here often and now I think I will just stay with "the other
site".
The ad was for a few baby hats.
Did I post too many pics in the ad?
Not sure what rule I broke??
-------------------
I wasn't trying to be rude.
I got this...........
What you did today is extremely rude and obnoxious.
It's frankly ridiculous.
You sent a private message at 5:30pm on a Sunday evening.
It's the weekend - we're busy with other things.
And yet only 2 hours after sending a PM, you rudely
complain in the public forums, and add obnoxious comments, and even the
"eye-roll" smiley ( ).
Think about that, and how ridiculous it is for you to do that.
Try emailing just about any website, and they're NOT going to
reply back within 2 hours on a Sunday evening. That includes
"the other site", as you so rudely mention.
Here you are, getting benefits from our site for years, without even
paying us anything.
You have certainly benefitted from the work we've put into operating
iSJ, when you needed help like in these posts:
http://isaintjohn.com/classifieds/sh...d.php?t=106954
http://isaintjohn.com/classifieds/sh...ad.php?t=79732
And as a "thank you" to us, what do you do? You post rude &
obnoxious comments in the forums.
As for your question, you could have simply read the rules to learn why
your post was removed. There are large links about advertising on every
page... here is a direct link:
http://isaintjohn.com/Advertising/#whichads
In the box for "What is a "commercial" ad?", notice the line about
self-made handcrafts.
It's not a big deal that you didn't read it, but what is a big deal is
what you did with your forum post. You sent a PM, and only 2 hours
later, you decided to post an obnoxious message in the public forums.
It's ridiculous that you feel "entitled" to be so rude, especially when
you don't even pay us anything.
If you don't appreciate what you've gotten from iSJ (for free!), fine,
but don't be rude.
When you take something for free (like the use of this web site, or
anything else that you choose to take for free), it's simply common
sense and common courtesy to not be rude about it.
You can either apologize for your obnoxious post, or else you will be
banned (and then the next time you need to ask people for advice, you
won't be able to do it here).

So I replied........Good Evening
Please do not judge me so harshly. I am a stay at home mom who is only
tring to make ends meet. And yes I did not read that where crafts are
not allowed here. Thank you for pointing that out for me that is what I
wanted to know. My bad!!
When I was on here earlier I was also breastfeeding my newborn and on
the phone with my mother and tending to a sick toddler. I have been
going on little to no sleep and I have an appointment to have a tooth
removed in the morning which I don't even think I can afford. Needless
to say I have my hands full.
I just needed some extra cash and didn't know I had been so rude I
didn't intend to do that. Anyone who knows me knows that I am nothing
like that. I guess I wasn't thinking!
I did not like how you threw post from 2007 back in my face. That hurt
my feelings. I never once say that I did not
appreciate what ISJ has
done for me in the past. Or should I say the kind people who chooses to
come here. I do use free sites to post ads but I also use ebay which is
not free.
You make me sound like some money grabbing free loader. Not nice. Kinda
rude. Just saying.
Like I have said before I don't come here that often and I did not know
if I send my first message right or to the right person.
I didn't think I was complaining I was asking for an explication.
And I totally forgot that it was Sunday, didn't make it to church this
morning due to sick child, also hubby worked today, he usually have
weekends off. It's not Monday??? I don't know if you know what it is
like to have a newborn in the house, i have not slept in weeks. I am not
tring to make any excuses, just want you to see that I was not tring to
be mean on purpose.
I am sorry that you took my comments/actions as being rude and obnoxious,
I did not intended it that way at all.
If you feel like I should be banned than I guess that is your call.

They replied with this! You were already told in the earlier PM:
The issue is the fact that you
complained publicly, and
were rude publicly.
THAT IS THE PROBLEM, not your ad for the
items for sale. Read the earlier PM again.
And even if you thought it was Monday evening, what you did was wrong.
Do
not complain publicly and do not be obnoxious... this comment you
made PUBLICLY is extremely obnoxious: "I don't post here often and now I
think I will just stay with "the other site".
You even went and added the eye-roll smiley (
) to
be extra obnoxious.
Again, YOU DON'T EVEN PAY US TO USE THIS SITE. So don't expect a reply
within 2 hours, even on a Monday.
Go try emailing any web site. Even if you are paying them, you probably
won't get a reply within 2 hours. So for you to only wait 2 hours, and
then choose to publicly complain about it is extremely rude behaviour.
Moving on, this part of your reply makes no sense:
Quote:
I never once say that I did not appreciate what ISJ has done for me in the past. Or should I say the kind people who chooses to come here.

Look again at what you posted in the forums (pasted in the earlier
PM). That shows a total lack of appreciation for what you've gotten
from iSJ.
Secondly, it's not just the "kind people" who use this site that you
should be appreciative to.
You should be
even more appreciative to us. Do you not even
realize that this site costs us money to operate? We've spent a lot of
time and money to provide this site (the costs are much more than the
revenue) -- so BE APPRECIATIVE of that.
Most cities don't have sites like iSJ because it's not even profitable.
This PM is a perfect example... having to waste time on a weekend
dealing with someone who had the nerve to publicly complain in the
forums. It's very aggravating, and obviously doesn't bring-in any money.
So have some common courtesy - when you take something for free (whether
it's web services or anything else), be polite to the providers, not
rude.

The reply to you frankly should have been much harsher.
Anyway, you are missing the point again.
The point is that you don't even pay to use iSJ!
If you had one restaurant that gave you free food (iSJ) and another
restaurant where you paid (eBay), you quite obviously should be more
appreciative to the place that's giving something to you for free.
It has nothing to do with "free loading", although frankly if you can
afford to pay for eBay ads, you can afford to pay for the few iSJ ad
types that require fees.
If you don't want to pay, fine, but the point is, the rules are already
stated clearly. You can either pay to post the ad, or not pay and not
post them.
The bottom line is when you take something for free (web services or
anything else), don't complain and don't be rude.
This isn't even the first time you did this. In looking through your
earlier posts, you did the exact same thing a couple of years ago
(trying to sell items you created specifically to sell, which the rules
state can only be done if paid for), and you were told the rules that
time too. And you were rude back then as well (obnoxiously talking about
how you'll just go use K ijiji).
