Friggin PUPPY BUYERS

I have so many pet peeves.. But even more with the small breed owners.

At least with my working dogs.. it was a little easier.. Because they went to work..

BUT frick.. what do people want ( no offense to give them away) This oopsie litter I am already in the red for. Not a big deal.. not wanting to make money.

But what I offer, try to beat that with anyone else..

But no. you mention the spay and neuter contract.. and so many people don't want it.... I am so frustrated with stupid people..

Oh and then you get the ones.. saying I will give you 100 dollars.... HMM ya.... sure not going to happen.. Morons

I will take them all for weekly cakes! LOL

See now that is an offer that I can't refuse...

But I have found 2 wonderful homes so far.. Couldn't ask for any better..

Sounds like your doing OK so far. Wait till you get the 3 am call from someone that has forgotten their wifes/daughters birthday or their wedding anniversary and they need that present NOW - Then the call that comes in from the individual whose spent the night at the bar comes home and decides to look through the classifieds, their speech is sol slurred you can't understand them so you hang up - and guess what - they phone back stating there must be something wrong with the line because they got disconnected. Then there's the individuals who will phone and make arrangements to come out and view the bundle of fluff - instead of showing up at 3pm they show up at 4:30 - driving a 48 passenger bus and out comes mom, dad, their 4 kids, 16-20 of their kids friends, gramma, grampa, the neighbor, and a few other relatives. We've all come out from the city to look at the puppies and spend the afternoon on a farm outing exploring and looking at all the animals. And they figure if they hang around long enough out will come the Bar-B-Que and everyone will get fed - after all us country folk are a friendly lot, and if you arrive at supper time your normally invited to stay. Then there's the home inspectors - you know- the ones that come to look at the pups and put on their white gloves to check out your housekeeping skills. Then theirs the critic - all they can do is find fault after fault with the puppies, and believe you should be paying them to take the puppies off your hands. Then theirs the negotiators - you know the ones if you want 200. they will offer 100, then the ones that want to do time payments. By the time the weekend is over JACK DANIELS is looking like one hell of a good friend to turn to for some comfort.

I know you get it.... But you would be surprised at people........... YES you will sign a CONTRACT.. AND YEs I will enforce the thing. AND YES, I want references.. minus the 2 people that use my vet.. LMFAO.....

I can probabily go on for a good 50 pages of my encounters with the odd balls that belong to the human race. A couple of my most memorial - Two years ago an elderly lady in town had a massive stroke and was eventually discharged to a nursing home. Her two kids who lived out of Province ask if I could find a home for their Moms Yorkie. I obliged to help them out - I took the dog (she was only 3 years old) had her spayed, teeth cleaned and vaccinations brought up to date. Vet costs were just under 200.00 so I listed her on KJ with an adoption fee of 160.00 (which I thought was reasonable) I screened the emails and came across a few that I thought were responsible people so gave them my phone number. The first call I got was from a lady that seem real nice - gave her directions to the farm and out they came. It wasn't until the van turned into my yard that it dawned on me that when the name Hofer came up on my phone it can only mean one thing - Hutterite. I met the family outside with the dog - they liked her and the dog liked them - so maybe - but then things changed - the man that was with them said he would pay no money for the dog - would exchange potatoes, carrots and onions - We're standing less than 200 feet from the garden and he's trying to convince me to trade for his veggies when he can see I have plenty of my own - good grief - so off they went. Early evening the second couple arrive - they don't stop next to the house but drive almost to the barn - guess being from the city they couldn't tell the difference. I let out a holler so they park their vehicle and walk back to the house (it didn't dawn on them to drive up to the house) Their two kids were worse than a couple of animals, and if they were mine they would have been euthanized a long time ago. The interview only lasted 20 minutes maybe and I demanded that they grab their animals they refer to as children and vacate the property. I along with Benji my German Sheppard escorted them back to their vehicle. They had made the mistake of leaving their car windows open and while they were up at the house a couple of the Ferrel cats climbed inside and helped themselves to some of the kids junk food and left a few calling cards before exiting the vehicle. Last words the guy said had something to do with me paying to have his car cleaned etc. never did hear from him again. The dog was placed with a wonderful older couple from Winnipeg Beach the next day. They were so happy they gave me 150.00 and left here with a vehicle full of veggies and fruit from the orchard along with the dog. Beleive me there are all kinds of ding bats in this world - so have fun Mini and keep that bottle of Jack Daniels close at hand - as he will be your only comforting friend through all of this.

You forgot the ones that come and stretch out on your living room
floor,play with the puppys for no less than 2 hours,ruin your entire
evening while you are waiting for a puppy to chose them,then offer
you half the money,want to write a check for half of that and send \you the rest at the end of the next month

All those horror stories are enough to keep some people, like myself, from ever breeding... I do not need more odd balls in my life.

3 puppies now have excellent homes... YEAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH..

Thats good - your moving right along - at this rate you may be making out with only one bottle of Jack Daniels instead of an entire case. The weekend is still young.

Actually, I can't believe how they are going..

I advertised on kijiji.. but no good hits.. They have all gone by word of mouth...

I guess my name is still good around here.. LOL...

The last pup is going to a nice military couple. That heard about our pups.. through friends... and got our number..

But, to stand on my soap box a little..

I have received some amazing comments from people.

So so far so good.. And the best part.. They love my contract...... lol... Plus they will be using my vet.. LOL

I recall the exact same name trying to make the same deal here but for tires. Don't get me wrong the set they were wanting were expensive, but really I don't think Hubby's work needs 3000.00 dollars worth of veggies lmfao

The best with Hutterites is when they grab 700 dollars to plunk into the VLT's and if they don't win, try to make a deal with the bartender to his money back with produce from their colony!

my favorite puppy buyer, a korean guy. they come up to pick thier puppy, wife comes in the house with me and we are doing our puppy thing. hubby just got home from work, truck is overheating, he is in a fowl mood,the guy walks up to leroy and says yo hillbilly, real hillbilly goats, cows, chickens, work on old ford truck, drink beer. he says last year we go on vacation to hillbilly farm just like this pay 2000 dollar for holiday, leroy just handed him a beer, then he says maybe next year i get tent and come here. oh my god.
