| Maybe this child caught a break because mommy couldn't stay up long enough to put the car into gear. A woman was found passed out drunk in the driver’s seat of her parked car while her three-year-old child was asleep in the back seat, police said.
Shortly after 6 p.m. Saturday, a Perth County OPP officer noticed a vehicle with its engine running and no apparent driver parked suspiciously on the shoulder of Hwy. 7 south of St. Marys.
After taking a closer look, the officer noticed a woman passed out in the driver’s seat, an open bottle of vodka at her feet, and a sleeping toddler in a rear car seat.
A 43-year-old Toronto woman is charged with impaired driving.
The child was returned home to Toronto. Children’s aid societies in Huron-Perth and Toronto are investigating the incident.

| She had to drive to get to the highway at some point and my guess is she was just as drunk then. Gotta love people who shouldn't be parents. | |

| That's poor child. No matter how many times you hear of drinking and driving accidents that injure or kill victims, some people still get behind the wheel of a car. | |
