Maybe this child caught a break because mommy couldn't stay up long enough to put the car into gear.

A woman was found passed out drunk in the driver’s seat of her parked car while her three-year-old child was asleep in the back seat, police said.

Shortly after 6 p.m. Saturday, a Perth County OPP officer noticed a vehicle with its engine running and no apparent driver parked suspiciously on the shoulder of Hwy. 7 south of St. Marys.

After taking a closer look, the officer noticed a woman passed out in the driver’s seat, an open bottle of vodka at her feet, and a sleeping toddler in a rear car seat.

A 43-year-old Toronto woman is charged with impaired driving.

The child was returned home to Toronto. Children’s aid societies in Huron-Perth and Toronto are investigating the incident.

Poor Baby

She had to drive to get to the highway at some point and my guess is she was just as drunk then. Gotta love people who shouldn't be parents.

That's poor child. No matter how many times you hear of drinking and driving accidents that injure or kill victims, some people still get behind the wheel of a car.
