| Anyone know what I'll need to cross into the states with khaos? Besides advil?
By the time we leave he'll be old enough for his rabies so do I just need the vet papers for that or will I need to get him a city tag too?

| I always thought that you just needed their proof of vaccinations but I think your dog license is a good thing to bring along as well. | |

| When I went to the States to pick up my Irish Setter they took my dog food at customs. I wasn't permitted entry with dog food from Canada. Weird.
- Dogs must be free of evidence of diseases communicable to humans when possibly examined at the port of entry.
- Valid rabies vaccination certificate (including an expiration date usually up to 3 years from the actual vaccine date and a veterinarian's signature). If no expiration date is specified on the certificate, then the certificate is acceptable if the date of the vaccination is not more than 12 months before the date of arrival. The certificate must show that the dog had the rabies vaccine at least 30 days prior to entry.
Is the Advil for you? | |

| I'm not sure if you can take dog food in now or not. When I went to the States, there was that huge mad cow thing going on. When they took mine they acted like it was poison. | |

| well they sell his brand down there so i'll just leave his here and buy a bag when I get there seeing I'll be down there a couple months.
Wonder if I can knock him out for the drive seeing he'll have to be crated and he hates his crate and sounds like hes being killed while in it....
