JERSEY.........'found' dog near you

Did you see this morning's post on NSLDN?  Found on the East Uniacke Rd. wearing a thunder shirt. Recognize this cute boy?

I know where he is now.
Some nice people took him in for the night and are keeping him safe.
I guess there were two dogs, both wearing thundershirts.
Rachel managed to finally "catch" one.
Not sure what happened to the second dog yet.

Strange that the owners aren't posting signs all over town.

Maybe they aren't from this town?
He can come and stay with me for awhile if he's dog friendly.
Chances are good that he could be as he was "traveling" with another dog.
I hope the other fella is safe somewhere.
We are getting some terribly high temps tomorrow.
I wonder if those thundershirts are thick?

Good lord! I hope they do find the other. Are there any campgrounds in that area? Just wondering if it's someone traveling from out of the area. If they were both wearing thundershirts then they must have been together like you say and obviously have concerned owners. It's going to be terribly hot and humid and possible thunder/lightening. We've already had a couple of heavy showers here and now the sun is shining again........damn fickle bitch that Mother Nature is.

Hopefully whoever owns the dogs contacts the RCMP and they give them more leads to follow up with.

If it was people camping, the campground would have to allow dogs.

Nope.......lost track of campgrounds when the kids were still young.  

Just googled the map for it. It's possible!  Hard to tell from the map......how far would you say it was from the campground to the E. Uniacke Rd?

It would be quite a "hike" but it is all the smaller highways (we call it the back road)
They certainly could have wandered the "gulley" all the way up the two roads.

If you are driving and you are at the campsite, it's really close to the Irving.
Now, of course that's in a car but it is possible for the dogs to travel the route.
I know there are all kinds of ATV trails that connect all kinds of paths of the little highways.
They could make it quite a distance if they traveled those.

Just reread the notice and it's the S. Uniacke Rd.......which would be a bit closer too. Going to post on the NSLDN that the finder contact the campground, just in case.

The "story" is unfolding.

The one dog that they caught is in bad shape (IMO)
4 broken teeth-down to the pulp and it is "fussy" when eating...no wonder.
I'm NOT trying to be disrespectful and I am SO happy that the dog is safe BUT...the dog needs medical attention.
We can try and try and "hold onto" the dog but none of us have the financial means to do this properly.

I suggested surrendering the boy to a rescue.
I'm still waiting to hear back.
I was going to take him in until we located the owners but this boy has some issues.
Intact male, pees in the house.
Escape artist and a barker.

The woman that has him is a sweet heart but I'd have SERIOUS concerns about giving the dog back at this point-if the owners were located.
The first sighting of the dog running was on the 9th.
The dogs were running for a really long time now.
Campers would know way by now if they were missing 2 dogs.

I am kind of thinking they were abandoned.
The thundershirts are throwing me off but people are messed up.

Maybe that eased their conscience?
The shirts cost 50.00 each-not making sense that people would gear up the dogs to let them go but...

Last thing I heard is younger kids (still adults) might have been taking care of them while the owners were on vacation.
(owners kids) Seems they might be coming home tomorrow.

Maybe they have no clue.

The one boy that is safe had an S link on his collar...the tag might have fallen off.
The metal part was still attached.

I'm rambling-sorry.
I just want to take him so bad but I know I can't afford to get him to a vet.
Those poor teeth must be killing him.
(I got bad teeth-it hurts like a bitch)
