Another winter has wrapped up the Prairies for the next 3 months and with winter comes cold weather and problems getting machinery (tractors vehicles etc) started. I'm sure at one time or another we have all experienced the frustration or a tractor or car not starting even its been plugged in. Here's some simple advice that works in getting those critters to turn over and start. Take a tarp and place it over the front of the tractor - anchor the sides down with some blocks of wood and place a space heater on an upside down pail on hi - the tarp will keep the heat in and the tractor will start within 3-4 hours - If your not close to a power source use bar-b-que charcoal bricketts in a pail - when the flame goes out and the brickets begin turning white put the pail containing them under the tarp Both methods work like a charm and within 2-4 hours your up and running

I just wanna say you might want to make sure the pail is metal.. a plastic one would melt... seems obvious but some people don't get obvious.

That's a good tip. Knock on wood it never gets that cold here in Southwestern Ontario where you have to plug in your vehicles in the winter. I hope it never gets that cold here.
