| My sister put one of those fleece pads in her puppies kennel and went to bed. The yorkie who sleeps with my sister in bed woke her up freaking out. The Maltese pup was choking on the chewed up fleece. They are certain he would have been dead by morning when they all woke up if the yorkie didn't wake them up with the barking. | |

| You might want to try layers of newspaper, not the coloured sections though,I have used it some dogs chew it some don't but it softens the bottom of the kennel for them a bit | |

| Mousey,
Puppies sleep all throughout the day. You can put a blanket in the kennel through the day while you are home to watch. Panzer might not chew them at all at first. In my experience they usually don't when they are in that "infant" stage. It's when they are no longer napping throughout the day and are in that "toddler" stage of exploring and tasting everything that I take the blankets away at bedtime. They are usually so tuckered out that they don't really notice they have no blanket.
When we brought Keyper home she did have a blanket in her crate and she never chewed on it but I am a very light sleeper and the kennel was literally right beside me. I felt comfortable allowing her to keep the blanket at night even though she was in the toddler stage because she just never chewed them from day one. (she steals them from everyone else now-lol)
Now with my setter, NO blankets at all or he will eat them. I never had him from the puppy stage though so I'm not sure if he always chewed them.
Seven just drags them around the house. When he was a pup, I never really had to worry about a blanket for him as he pulled them onto the floor and seemed to prefer it that way. He slept without one in his kennel at night. Now that he is older, I put one back in for him. I sleep in the living room with all of them though, so I kinda sleep in a kennel myself. I hear everything they do. | |

| Whatever you do... DON'T cave when the little brat with that oh so adorable face whines at night for you to let him out. Two nights of crying and you don't give in and it's all good after that. (In my experience) | |
