What is the best wood to use for shelves in a clothes closet?
I want cedar but Cory said that will make everything smell like cedar.
(That was kind of the point)

cedar is what I would use for its durability and strength,some of the stuff you can buy warps

Besides that I like the smell of cedar

Cedar is more expensive. I put some in a downstairs powder room cause I liked the smell, I don't smell it anymore.

Our closets have cedar shelves and cedar lining. Keeps the moths away as well as smelling fresh.
