I don't understand if dogs can eat chicken raw (full of salmonella) why is it not okay in the dry food?? :?:

jamn53,

I'm just taking a shot in the dark here but I think the real danger is for humans getting salmonella poisoning from handling the kibble.
Older dogs and dogs with immune problems would be at higher risk with tainted (salmonella) kibble of course and that is a major concern.

Again just my thought.
Great question though.

I'd love to know the real answer and not just my guess.

"The product was distributed to customers located in California, Iowa, Illinois, Indiana, Kentucky, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, North Dakota, Nebraska, Ohio and Wisconsin, who may have further distributed the product to other states."

But sure makes feeding raw a little more attractive, sort of.

Same sort of contamination risks with raw food, for the person handling it. But at least you know the chances, not buried in a fine print warning on a bag of kibble. Kwim?

Feeding your dogs shouldn't be this hard.

Sad

I'm sure KWIM would agree.
