I have another issue LMAO

sorry guys

so we have the 3 dogs, lucky, daisy and violet

daisy is about 3 years old and we have had her for probably a little over a year, she was a rescue that came through right when we started really getting into pug specific rescue and we decided to keep her as my husbands dog because at the time we only had lucky.

She is quite dominant and always has been, she is bossy and pushy with other dogs which is fine. But I have noticed that since we got violet she has been worse, her and lucky have gotten into 3 fights in the past 3 months, daisy also guards food from lucky, we used to be able to put the bowls down in the kitchen and they would eat their own but now daisy will guard both bowls so we feed them in separate locations.

What scares me is that she does the same thing with violet, we don`t feed them together (violet eats in her crate) but if there happens to be a dead mouse, the kids drop a piece of food ect there is a scuffle and daisy does not back down from violet at all.

daisy also has this thing with the door, if I take lucky with me somewhere, when I come back she will attack lucky for what seems like no reason...... she doesnt do this with violet only lucky. when I say attack I don`t mean an all out attack its more of a dominance display if thats what you want to call it, lucky will avoid conflict at all costs but daisy wants to jump on her back, growl at her, chase her ect.

None of the dogs have been injured to date, in fact daisy has very few teeth so its more her safety that I am worried about.

I have thought of 3 options.

one would be to hire a behaviorist to work with her to resolve the issues, because I have been trying to work with her but I am not an expert and she seems to be getting worse.

Crate all the dogs at night and when the kids are eating ect and monitor the dogs outside all the time........ Lucky and daisy have never been crated before, and violet likes to spend time outside so it would be difficult to monitor them all..... difficult but do able because this is pretty much what we are doing now.

the last option would be to re home daisy to an only dog household.

I could re home violet but I am not willing to do that, to be selfish here I get much more enjoyment out of violet then I do daisy, so does the rest of the family. And lucky is not going anywhere, she has too many health problems and I just love her to pieces.

I think hiring a behaviorist is the best option.. At least then you will never have any guilt of not trying hard enough like I did for Sage.... And, if it doesn't work out, you still have other options.
