Thanks Rottn, this is so painful and hard to explain to my boy who is such a sweet and carefree kinda guy. My biggest fear is...what if they succeed and he gets charged? It will destroy him. After all my family has been through I feel like I have protected them from all the pain. I can not protect him from this.
I am so stressed and tomorrow I have to travel two towns away to have my 12 year old re assessed for autism. I will not be within a distance to come and get him if he needs me. These are the times that I am lonely and feel so helpless.

Omgosh Dogwood, how flippin' awful! I really can't imagine this going very far, it's a contact sport and there IS a certain expectation of injury. What are they thinking? The parents all sign liability waivers when kids join school sports, don't they? Or does that just protect the school? I can't imagine what's going through their heads.

Oh Dogwood that is awful

It was a game for heavens sakes,it happens all the time,my sons had their share of broken bones due to football whaile they were growning up and I never once thought about suing the parents of the kid who did it

I think it will fizzle out to be honest,as it is the name of the game and we all know it

Wow, seems to be a day of bad news on kibbles.

I am not surprised that in this sue happy society that they are doing this. I do feel sorry for your child who I'm sure already feels guilty enough for something he couldn't have helped. He did nothing wrong and I hope that the police find this as well.

Unless our court system pulls another doozy, you have nothing to worry about dogwood. People are getting so pathetic these days.

Use this if you need to...Joe Theisman breaks leg on football field (kinda icky for weak stomachs).

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PHCXNt4P8Xg

He didn't sue if I remember correctly, and it cost him MILLIONS of dollars.

Dogwood, I am sorry that you and your son are going through this bs. Here where I live all of my nephews had to sign waivers if they are playing on a school team. Most other sports organizations also make you sign a waiver that there is no liability of being hurt while playing. Those parents are assholes and it is a sin that these are the kinds of morals and values that they are passing on to their offspring. Hugs to you my friend!!!

COOL Fleas!!

No more news today on my son. We just sit and wait now. Apparently because the kids were playing at lunch time they can charge him with assault. I am betting they plan to sue the school as well.

Fantastic Fleas! Were you filming to the north? We're going to tool around the neighbourhood for a bit this morning because something was definitely hit closeby a couple times last night.

I'm betting their insurance coverage falls flat for sports played on their own time. I'm wondering if broken leg kid feels embarrassed over this as well?

How'd your day go with your other son?

I double dog dare you to put on a bathing suit and lay out in it RIGHT NOW!!

Freakin 11 degrees (52 for the old timers). And other than the odd peak out from behind a cloud it's dull, windy and cold. You sure we're only like 20 something miles apart??? Sad

Hell, I can't remember last time I even owned one, let alone put one on. Trust me, that would be almost as disturbing as fleas in pink hot pants.

How about I come over (sans bikini), bring my clippers. We can sit in the sun, you can buzz my hair and any other furry critter you feel so inclined to trim?? I'm starting to look like the neighbour's wolfhound X.

I really need a day off. That half bottle of wine I used to get me to sleep last night is hitting just a little too hard.
