As a child I used to catch them, play with them for a few minutes then let them go. They are interesting.

My kids are getting the knack of catching lightening bugs.they are too cool
I love watching them in the late evenings

My cat caught a lightning bug the other day and tried to eat it... It caused her to foam at the mouth a bit... Didn't teach her though... she tried to go for it again.

My youngest child wants a Sheltie that he can compete in junior handling, rally and agility with.

For now, he's settled for snails he has had for a month now. Caught them out in the back yard and on the side of the house. Has four in total and named them Jeff, George, Charlotte, and Toby. :lol: They love to eat carrots.

LOL ... The snails are pretty cool. Took a picture of one for him, I'll have to post it on here one day. Thinking about moving in a couple years, if all goes well and this is not just a phase of I want a Sheltie and gets bored after, maybe will add one to the household.
