PostSubject: Explosion in Edmonton   Thu 24 Jun 2010, 12:08 pm

Not sure if you guys read this on the news.. BUt the damage is in the millions. Familes are still out of their homes. Lots of news stories on it... so sad..... good thing it happened not at a peak time when alot more people mightve of been home. Couldn't imagine the casualities

CTV.ca News Staff

Police are not confirming or denying reports that one of the bodies found inside a house that exploded in north Edmonton on Sunday was wrapped and bound.

The massive explosion and resulting fire left four people dead, in total.

The Edmonton Journal reported the new details on Thursday, but said police would not comment.

The home that exploded belonged to 46-year-old Dwayne Poirier and 47-year-old Jeanne Cathleen Heard according to land title records, but police – who have been tight-lipped about all details in the case -- have not confirmed whether they were among the victims.

Friends of the couple have said they are missing.

Craig Huber and Brad Winter were both found dead in the home located next door to the one that exploded.

Autopsies on the four bodies began Tuesday and have been completed. Police have yet to release the results or their identities.

The Sunday afternoon explosion destroyed at least three homes and damaged up to 28.

Early this week the investigation was handed over to homicide detectives.

Edmonton police Insp. Darren Eastcott called the explosion "suspicious."

"Not every house blows up like that," he said.

I'm thinking murder suicide, and unfortunately Huber & Winter were innocent by-standers. If Poirier & Heard haven't been found, I'm thinking it's her body that was found wrapped up, and he was the one that orchestrated the explosion. What a terrible tragedy. Strange, the only 2 beings that survived the levelling of that house was Heard's 2 cats. Something sinister definitely took place, but tough to piece together a plausible story with charred remains. So sad.

It is a real tragedy,I believe my daughter said Brad was only 26,engaged to be married, his girlfriend was in the home at the
time I think she is still in the hospital with a serious concussion,
apparently from what I was told part of the ceiling fell in on her

there was also a child in the home, who was not seriously hurt

One of the fellow's g.f. was on the news last night, and had returned to the scene. Of course she was devastated, as reporters tried to get her to talk. My heart just broke for her, as she explained that her son continues to ask for (I believe it was Brad).

There's a FB page "R.I.P. Brad & Craig".

The cops are definitely treating this as a homicide.

That's horrible. Sad

I was reading early today about that little 3 year old boy who was hit by a subway train.
