I had bumped it up as it was a good thread topic, but after reading the first page, the banned members posts, it does come across as strange we could always continue from here for those who haven't responded to this thread and want to about their favourite breed(s).

My favorite breed right now is the newfoundland and I am seriously thinking about getting into this breed when we make the move to the country. We see this same lady at the dog park all the time she has two newfs the female is a landeser and totally beautiful, her male is 9 months old and 150 pounds he dwarfs violet lol.

Pros:
Gentle
calm
great with other animals/children
great family dogs
can tolerate cold temps really well
love the outdoors
beautiful

cons:
very big
lots of hair
generally pretty dirty dogs (love the water/mud/drool ect)
Hip problems are common
they don't live as long as some of the other breeds

And don't forget that they poop patties about the size of a pug! Ok, slight exaggeration, just slight....

LOL, you've got me there. For that I would buy a bigger shovel (and maybe a farm). How cute is that?!?!?

Yes a farm for sure or at least a country property. That's why I am waiting....

We were supposed to move this spring but put it off until next spring, I can't wait to have miniature goats, some fancy chickens and some newfs.
