This is the floor.

What color would look good on the walls?
It is a small room with one window.
Any decorators out there?

Personally I'd go with a sandy kind of beige/cream color that appears as grout in your picture but I'm no decorator LOL

That said we've got to paint too,my daughter's room and that's the color she has picked out. I'd be good to paint today too as I need an outlet to work out my Sister frustration LOL.

It all depends on the feel of the room you want, plus what type of furniture you have in that room meaning coloUr wise, the lighting (besides just one window) and as funny as this sounds what type of light bulbs are you using. Are you using regular 100w soft white, or are you using the light bulbs that say natural light etc, is it just a couple lamps or do you have ceiling fixtures that produces a fair amount of light.

The paint you put on the walls will look different under different lighting and a lot of times people will paint walls and not take into account their furniture thats in there and once all said and done, realize the coloUr of their furniture just makes the walls look absolutely terrible.

Also do you have trim and are you wanting to do just a one coloUr scheme?

edited JUST FOR D lol!

I'd pick a new floor Shocked

As for the coloUr for the wall, if the room is small with not a lot of light you should pick a fairly light colour.
I'd personally go with something like Silver Tinsel   UL200-7 from Behr

You can buy a sample of it to check if you like it before painting the whole room
http://www.homedepot.com/Grays/Paint-Paint-Samples/h_d1/N-5yc1vZ1xg1Zbo8pZ1z13zy8/R-202180445/h_d2/ProductDisplay?langId=-1&storeId=10051&catalogId=10053

Try and stay away from anything with too much of a blue tint, unless it will be a boys room otherwise it will
end up looking cheesy.

Remind me never to ask D if I look fat in these pants. Giggle
Seriously, I DO like that color.
Thank you for looking it up for me.

Tookey,

The room is used for my cats.
Their little escape room from the dogs when they need a break from all of the chaos.
I need to change the light fixture also.
It is one of those ugly ceiling fans with one bulb in the middle.

I hope you paint away your frustrations Stormie.

Psst...D,
DO I look fat in these pants? Giggle

I disagree with D go ahead D and shoot me now lol

I chose for my living room a blue that changes to a light almost silver grey at night and I love it,it took hours at the paint store to get just the right color to work for me

I'm off to the paint store.
Wish me luck.
The last time a picked a paint color it was a pretty sandy shade, called Beachwalk.
I put in on the walls and it looks like I smeared Dijon mustard on the walls.
Now, I like Dijon mustard but not on the walls. No

I like to buy samples bring them home and use them on different walls to see how the lighting affects them.

This is what I would do. Sometimes what looks really nice in the store, might not turn out to look the same way when you get it on the walls at home. Kind of like buying makeup.

I think BEIGE and chocolate brown with accents of light blue would be beautiful. It would also depend on how big the window is of course and how much light it gets.
