PostSubject: Speaking Of Dead   Tue 16 Feb 2010, 2:25 pm

Last night my brother in law and I were doing some genealogy on hubbys side of the family. We were working on the lineage of their grandmother's side. This morning we get a call from London England from a private investigator, he was calling to let us know that we Clark's are the last of the living line over there in England and a Mr. Thomas Dodd of Lancashire has passed and we are to claim our inheritance. Never heard to this Mr. Dodd but apparantly he is one of my husbands fathers cousins. Sheesh, weirdness huh, I can't wait to get more details especially the date of his death to see if it was when we were having ghostys there in January. Smile Smile Smile

8)

After reading Boston's thread, I thought it would be neat to start a genealogy project on my family.

Start now...it takes years, and has many surprised and more brick walls that you could ever wish to bang you head against. tantrum

Boston made me drag all mine out but it seems after not working on it for a few years my random scraps of papers with names, places, and dates don't make sense to even me anymore so everything is stacked in a corner until I have a few free hours to figure out where everything goes again so chances are it will be waiting at least a few months if not years Embarassed

The PI contacted us again today and the gene pool we never knew anything about exists. The gran had another sister who has family is existance still. Who Knew...hubbys family does still thrive, what an interesting turn of events. This man died in 2006 with no will and it's interesting to have other living relatives that can be contacted to work on the genealogy project. Smile Smile Smile cheers

My mom's side of the family won't be so hard to do, most of my cousins have already started on that part. But my dad's side of the family will be hard to trace since I don't and haven't spoken to them since I was 8 years old, and they're from the U.S.
