| Can anybody tell me anything about them? To save money/sanity we cut our phone and went with voip, cut our cable and watch TV online with Netflix and Apple TV. But now I think I've had it with Roger's internet. Called this morning to up our package because we've been going quite a bit over on our usage (baseball season). Figured, with our usage, we'll probably end up paying only a few dollars less. Still a few bucks though, so why not? Then I asked what happened to their unlimited packages and she said they've still got one. Yippee, can we get it? She puts me on hold... no, we can't have it because only people with a minimum of 3 services through them (Internet, cable, phone, cell phone) can get it. Really. | |

Really.
I know my husband has many problems with Rogers, his business uses many cell phones and a few pagers. I had problems with Bell, my house phone and high speed internet(Xplornet) , They were more off line than on . I looked for a smaller IPS and found one, I get unlimited internet for $45.00 per month plus taxes. Because this IPS is so good I got Vonage for my house phone kept my own phone #, have all the futures, plus 500 min in Canada at no charge This 24/7 service is fantastic all this for $9.95 a month. I am looking to Vonage for a cell phone. |

Been using them for years now. http://www.distributel.ca/en/product.aspx?p=Cable_Internet_25We use two pc's, Xbox 360, two cell phones, a tablet, I download a ton, my brother (lives upstairs) uses my wireless for his pc, 360, and wii, and we have a ps3 all using the same line. We use netflix and have an ipod too. The bill is always the same amount, $62.04, no matter how much we use.

| Thanks Fleas! You're the second person to recommend them, we'll take a closer look for sure. I'm SO looking forward to telling Rogers to stuff it. | |

Let me, let me!!! Nothing feels better than telling Rogers or Bell where to stick it. Don't let them suck you in with some bullshit offer that lasts for 3 months, meanwhile you're on the hook for 3 years. If nothing else, they're very sneaky. Oh ya yourkey, I have an e-reader too.

Most of the "little guys" offering cable internet are using Rogers' lines, disributel included. You get the same service, without the cost. You do have to deal with outages if rogers goes down though, so that's really the only negative.
