While I agree with the overall idea that we should have the right to choose who receives our personal contact information, the reasons given by Ms. Bernard are ridiculous.

Ms. Selick is usually very melodramatic.
A profound impact on labour relations is a little foolish. A decision either way is going to have absolutely no impact on labour relations. Why would it?

Even the title of the article, Elizabeth Bernard v. Attorney General of Canada, et al., is incorrect. She isn't fighting the Attorney General, she's fighting PIPSC.

we are only as free as we "collectively" choose to be, the choices we make as a society in putting into a position of power people who respect freedom or who will erode freedom, either of all or of selected groups, or from all for the benefit of selected groups.

there will always be people who don't feel we have enough freedom, and some who feel we have to much freedom and should be more restricted in one way of another, and then theres those who feel we have no freedom, or very restricted, or a thin veil of freedom, it varies completely from one end of the scale to the other, depending on how each person values and views each individual component of to overall definition of freedom.

this could get pretty deep, so I will stop right here,,,,,,>>> X <<<

Hi Angus nice to see you here,You know I am a member of the Canadian Constitution foundation.
(anyone can be a member) so the articles from them interest me a great deal.
I might not always agree ,but usually their right and interesting.
