What a sweet dog

The family and I got together with friends to enjoy an amazing afternoon in the sun. Shortly after our arrival, my friend takes the children into her master bedroom. There they would meet Nappy. The most adorable American Bulldog pup.
Nappy came bouncing out of his crate , with his long thin tail flipping back and forth. Saying hey you guys look about my age. Both of my children smiled, saying is he ours? No, sorry he's Cherri's pup. Well my oldest sprung on me saying ,' mom now you know what puppy we want'! Pointing at Nappy, him!

Thanks I wish I had taken a few photos. The excitement was over whelming. My friend and I have decided to make play date arrangements to ensure the children are ready to be doggy owners.

By the way please excuse my spelling mistakes. I to can become excited , which causes the errors. :-D

No offense but children are not doggy owners, just helpers. IMO it's up to the adults and that includes ensuring that children be actively engaged in the pups socializing.

I totally agree. This was the purpose of our decision, as we know how fast the novelty wears off. Also its important they, along with ourselves are ready for a new family member. As they are to be considered a lifetime commitment. No offense taken what so ever.

I believe you can show children about any puppy and they will want it. Hope you find the right one for your family
