I always use comet or ajax on rust spots. Works like a charm on everything else, I can't see vinyl being any different.

Just don't scrub too hard, I always scrub lightly in circular motions.

Hopefully it is the newer lino that the colour goes through it not just a thin layer on top

I ordered it from Toronto about 2-3 years ago.
I couldn't find it here.

Thank you jamn.
It is supposed to look like distressed wood.
When I was in South Carolina yeas ago, lot's of the houses had this really sun washed look and I just loved it.
Or old barn boards. Love that too.

I'll get a bigger pic for you.
It has stood up to cat's, dogs' and rabbits.
And now rust-lol

I liked it because it already had that "beat up" look.
Wasn't sure if animal claws would scratch it but it already had that scratched look, so, we're good.

I had to order it from Toronto as it was a special order and our stores didn't keep it in stock.
No problems with ordering it though.
Side note...yellow walls look blah with the floor.
Need to paint.

I think if I was going to do a kitchen floor I'd pick this one...

http://www.armstrong.com/flooring/laminate/weathered-beach-wood-wood-plank-L3080/floor-130149.asp?src=qv

Still that distressed look but not as "baby blue" as mine.
Mine is in a bedroom so baby blue is ok but in a kitchen I think I'd like more depth.
The one in the link looks more "solid" and you still get that weathered beach look.

Jersey, I really like that weather beach look. It is the type of flooring colour that will go with anything you have or get in furniture.

I haven't forgotten jamn, still trying to find more of the floor to take a bigger picture of.
I'm going to be on an episode of "hoarders" soon if I'm not careful.
(I'm not making fun of people with serious hoarding issues, I just better be careful with my collecting is all)
Embarassed
I'll actually be really happy to be able to take a pic of the floor for you.
You are giving me a kick in the arse to get motivated to find it.

Cleaning supplies are on route right now. cheers

Hey jamn,

I did it!!!
Took me two weeks and I'm not anywhere near finished but...
The vinyl floor.

Vinyl floor problem PA221858

I tossed 6 bags + of garbage and had the Clothesline program come and pick up a tonne of stuff that was just being neglected when other people could use stuff. I had bins of stuff. Embarassed Embarassed Bad Jersey.
I need to paint still as I hate that paint on the walls-hated it as soon as I opened the can but it was too late at that point.
I turned it into a storage room and did nothing with the stuff.
Hopefully some people will get some use out of it all.
Still more to do but you got me motivated and gave me a reason to do it. (find that floor-hehe)
Thank you jamn, just the kick start I needed and I feel really good at how much I got accomplished. (and I'll feel awesome once I finish and paint and put on the base boards)
