| Anyone have a good recipe for a dry nose salve? My neighbor's bulldog has a nasty dry snout and he said he tried stuff like Vaseline...etc. But I prefer all natural ingredients like olive oil, coconut oil...etc. I cannot find a good recipe online I have the ingredients. | |

| Vitamin E capsule. Just break it open and apply as needed.

| With a really dry, cracked nose- I'd go to a vet. Is the dog old by chance?

| LOL....he's about 5 years old. I didn't ask about the vet issue but I assume it's an ongoing issue so probably. I'm going to give him some tomorrow. Maybe a bit of coconut oil too. or he'd probably lick it all off..lol Panzer loves coconut oil | |

| Lot's of animals have allergies to plastic. Weird eh?
Sometimes something as simple as switching to stainless steel clears up those odd little face problems. Dry skin, mouth infections, dry noses.

| I copied and pasted-lol
Plastic dog food bowls come in a variety of sizes, shapes and colors. However, these bowls may not be optimum for many dogs. Bowls made of softer plastic can be easily chewed or scratched by your dog, leaving places for bacteria to build up. Additionally, some dogs may develop an allergy to the plastic, resulting in a mild skin reaction on the chin or face.
I had a dog that had a plastic allergy. Changed the bowl and his mouth and nose cleared up.

| Get to a farm/feed store and pick up some Fiske's Skin & Wound Salve "An enriched and easy to apply version of our Hoof & Hide Balm. After repeated request from veterinarians, large and small animal owners, farriers and trainers, we thickened the traditional Hoof Balm formula with soothing Shea Butter. This creamy salve is excellent for cuts, wounds, salt burn, and hot spots on dogs. The smell of the Pine Tar deters animals from excessive licking." http://fiskes.ca/fiskes-products-detailed.htmlHell, even a tin of bag balm/udder cream or similar ....... except I think most of those contain petroleum. Fiske's uses beeswax, shea butter and all other natural ingredients Here's a list of some of the ingredients used..... http://fiskes.ca/fiskes-ingredients.html | |

| Interesting ingredients. I've been in the field so i'll talk to him as soon as I see him. Winston likes to chew his plastic pool so I'm assuming he doesn't have a plastic dish..lol | |
