Ever wonder why NS is called the 'have not' province'?

It's because our effing government (regardless of party) seems to take a sadistic pleasure in giving/taking away everything we do have !!

The more recent history of Moose River gold mining is a story of loss after loss, of the land, for the people and the companies that think they're going to strike it rich. We all know that, we've all seen it, it's not a fucking secret........it's proven fact.

Yet, here they go again. And this time they may find they have a fight on their hands. Another ploy by a foreign company to come scoop up whatever of value they find (or think they'll find) and our bloody government wants to gift wrap it for them.

We've already got gas lines stretching throughout the province siphoning natural gas from off shore down to the US.........that would be natural gas from our coastline. What did we get from it.........fuck all, of course. Hell, they not only gift wrapped it, they bloody well delivered it right to their doorstep

So now they are petitioning our government to hand over to them a piece of land that has belonged to this family for 120 years and which has proven to put money back into our economy year after year. These people will stay, they have been a part of our economy for decades, for generations........they will be here long after some foreign company rapes our land again and then runs (with likely more than a few fistfuls of the provinces money) back to their own country. Until the next one comes along.
