protective or jealous or just wanting to piss me off?

Ok dog peeps...

Chewy is umm idk 11 months-ish?

And has always been a big suck.

Until Now, For the past 2 days if she is laying at my feet she will not let Bella anywhere close to me.
She does this little "lunge" thingy and snaps towards where bella is, doesn't bite or even get all the way up but I don't have a clue why she would even do the lunge and snap

It makes no sense for her to be protective of me as I don't do anything with her shes my son's dog, He walks her, he feeds her, he plays with her everything. Aside from if I take her to the dog park for a run or for a bike ride I literally make Alex do everything with her.
It also makes no sense for her to be jealous of Bella as I don't do anything with her either! Old mans dog, he feeds her, he walks her, he lets her cuddle on the couch
Anyways .. anyone have a clue why shes decided to be a little bitch the last two days?

Its only when shes laying at my feet and Bella wants my attention she does it, the rest of the time shes fine with Bella....

Is Chewy fixed? That is the only thing that I can think of is that she may be going into heat

Nope not fixed, I never fix my animals but shes not in heat, she had her first heat last month the same time Bella had hers and the little bitch just did the lunge at the one cat now cause he jumped up on the computer desk to me, i think she wants me to beat her!

Only thing that I can think of is she's copying Bella maybe?

Bella is anti-dog and if Chewy is racing around and starts chewing on the cats Bella charges towards them barking... But Bella has always done it so I dont know why Chewy is choosing now to start this crap as she's always just took Bella doing that as playing and grabbed a toy to play tug with her

Her being a brat is so not helping my headache

If I'm not mistaken, one of the mixes in Chewy is Rottweiler. Rotties if not set boundaries from day one will resource guard, which is what it sounds like she is doing with you (resource guarding you). Also Chewy is at the age where she is starting to reach adolescence and this is where you'll see some behavioural issues arise. The lunging and snapping is a warning for Bella that if she doesn't back off, she will eventually bite Bella.

I wouldn't allow anyone to allow Chewy on the furniture, make it clear to the humans that you will pop them in the nose (lol) if they don't follow your rules and that this is for not only Bella's safety but the safety of others if Chewy starts thinking she can rule the roost. A Google search of "NILF" is a start to help put her in her place. Keep us posted on how things are going.
