| Nobody can help me with a valid answer.
I have been told you can change your settings so that you do not appear as a friend on your firiends "friend list."
Is this true? If so, how do you do it?
I cannot find any settings that would do this.

| No idea how you could do that. Only thing I figured out was setting to Friends Only means that their 'friends' cannot see your profile. Unless you tag the mutual friend in a pic, they have no access to your info.........at least that's what I hope it meant (that wasn't much help was it ) | |

| Thanks for trying anyway!
I think it is impossible to do what I was told is possible. I was told by very young college students, so I thought for sure they would know because of their age.

| I've been trying to figure out a way to do this also with no success. I had told my sister a few years ago that I didn't want to add her as a friend on my FB and to not send me a request. She has some old friends of mine from hs that have been trying to get in touch with me and some family members on her friends list that I do not care to keep in touch with. Though I can understand my sister's excitement as she just had her first child 3 months ago, and wants to send me updates and pics of the baby, she sends me a friend's request. After I specifically mentioned to her not to and the reason why. I caved because I didn't want to hurt her feelings, and just felt that if those on her friends list send me a request, I'll just ignore it with the excuse that I'm hardly ever on there, maybe once or twice a year. Which is far from the truth because I need FB for my pinterest addiction. lol | |

| No timeline, so I guess the old facebook.
BBE you can limit who can send you a friend request. it is in your privacy settings.
Privacy -how you connect - who can send you friend requests. But then maybe you want others to send you requests... it's a pickle, isn't it?

I know but I've customized so much security on my FB (it's pretty bad ... lol) that when they do an update I have to go back and check that my security settings didn't get wiped out and everyone has full access to things I don't want them to. It happened to me one time. I'll just ignore them if they send me a request. I haven't accepted the timeline either, I'll wait until FB forces it on my account.
