I stole this topic from another group. Do you Gamble? I'm not just referring to going to a casino and playing the slot machines or black jack tables. But do you buy lottery tickets and scratch lottery tickets?

When we had money in the distant past, we would go to a booth in the mall run by CNIB. They sold nevada tix, and even if we lost, we knew it was at least going to a good cause.

Lottery tickets...yes...me...about 4 times a year. My hubby buys them quite a bit, almost weekly and he wins quite a bit. Nothing big lately but about $100.00 a week on average.Smile

I do purchase lottery tickets but only about 5 to 7 times a year, only when the pot is big and nothing more than $5 for a ticket. The odd once in a blue moon, I will buy a $3 scratch ticket.

I'm debating on whether or not I want to buy one of those Brentwood tickets. I love to win the house. The tickets are costly though it goes to a good cause. Link below:

$50 bucks is a tad big but so are the prizes and it is a donation otherwise. I'm too cheap for any pricey tickets. Smile

I'm too cheap too, but one of the prizes is a house, and in an area that I was looking at moving to. Well one of the areas.

No, not lottery tickets or scratch and win, but don't let me go to the horse races!

I love betting on the horses, but only go to 20 bucks and then that's it, if I win, great, if I lose, well, I consider it a fun day out of the house.

Don't get me wrong, I only go a few times a year, and none of that TV racing stuff, gotta see the horses, love to watch them race.

That's one lottery I would consider, but the odds are so high, and 50 bucks for the ticket, still, winning that house would be amazing.

The horse races is one place I've never been to, even though there has been one for years in the city where I live.

I think in the next week or two, I'll take a drive by the place where they are supposed to build this house (out of curiosity). They also have other awesome prizes.

I have a lotto subscription so I don't miss a draw. I also buy some of the house lottery tickets. This is my most recent ticket - I will take the cash when I win, as there is a choice.

I don't go to Casino's, and I have never been to a horse race.

We stopped buying lottery tickets years ago just so we could justify the expense of buying three "Dream House" tickets a year. Heck, if we're going to throw our money away, it may as well go to a good cause.

I've been to Casinos a couple times, I'm pretty bad at that. Went to the horse races just to see the horses run, but as for betting, I'm pretty bad at that as well.

That being said, it looks like we're heading down to Windsor in a couple weeks, probably staying at Caesar's. We missed out on Vegas for our 25th wedding anniversary so if we put on some blinders, pretend that river is a desert..... I imagine we'll gamble a bit, just for the heck of it.
