Very Happy

My hard work has paid off, I was able to set my own hours temporarily. I'll be working full time hours!!! 7pm-3am this way I won't need daycare. I asked if I could learn a certain job and because of this I am able to work these hours doing this new job. My managers are noticing how hard I work and it's nice to be appreciated for that.

We've finally dealt with filing the taxes so we will soon receive the child tax credit again, and it will be retroactive from the last payment.

In October the universal (the daycare one) tax credit was stopped, I assumed it was because my husband still owes the gov't, turns out it was only frozen because I forgot to change our address with them, we will be receiving this again starting May 20th.

As I think I mentioned my landlord has agreed to lower our rent by $150 starting July 1st.

I was able to finally put my son into soccer this year and he's SO excited.

My husbands benefits are in effect starting May.

Things are looking up.....finally Very Happy

Smurry, no way did that come across as bragging. Believe me, I know first hand what it feels like to celebrate relief.......I'm so happy for you that the sun has finally decided to shine for you........sure feels good on your face doesn't it? 👍

I hope things have made a permanent turn around and you're able to start each day now with a smile.

Smurry, that's good news. For the record, it did not sound like you were bragging. You've had quite financial struggle the last year or two, and it's good to hear things are looking better for you and your family.

Smurry, never consider sharing good news with us as bragging.... especially after the crap run you've had. Congrats on the good news.

Thanks everyone....

what I'm so proud about is that I took the steps and have worked very hard to turn things around. Instead of pouting and praying things get better.

I'm also focusing on excersise, I recently sold my kids wagon and bought a bike trailer, tonight we went for a short ride with the kids but later after they went to bed I enjoyed a long ride all by myself and considering I haven't biked in years I made it quite far and it feels good!
