| Has anybody ever had one? Pros? Cons? Daughter is interested in getting one (are they happier in pairs?)
And yes, I'm Googling. Spay/Neuter, descenting, grooming, etc. Anything else I should know? Better to get them as babies or is older ok?
Ugh, wish she would consider some kind of a small bird. *sigh*, her money (but I'd pay for vet care) and her time. She's a really responsible kid so I'm sure she'll be a great pet owner.

| Well, turns out the ferret idea's a little bit of a moot point anyway. We went to a pet store that had them, because I have never handled one. Good news is that we learned that, in our city, it's illegal to sell ferrets unless they're spayed/neutered, descented, and started their shots. The ones we looked at didn't smell all that bad and didn't bite. I think they have ADHD though, LOL. Pretty darned affectionate little creatures though.
Bad thing, my eyes started tearing, itching, and swelling. Went away pretty quickly when I got home, changed, and washed up. With my daughter being in school all day and their attention needs it just wouldn't be a good idea.
Back to the drawing board. She was busy researching again last night.

| Hmmmm, pros and cons of Pet Rocks? You can paint little happy faces on the little buggers, they don't mind.

| Paint on little mean faces, line them up on the windowsills and call them Level II protection rocks? Hmmmmmm, could make a good living breeding and training these "special" and "rare" pets in our backyard. Get into Quartz mixes..... designer pet rocks.
I think we may be onto something here! Buy a cheap bag of gravel from some unscrupulous pit, and call them designer teacup pet rocks!

| I can see this working,no need to buy it though I can run out to the gravel pit and steal enough to get us going,we could have tea cup chihauhau pebbles and the list goes on and on.
Get a big rock and we could have a guard rottie, damn thing never moves though

I've got dogs that do a darned fine protection pet rock imitation already. It really does hurt when you trip over them on the way to the bathroom in the middle of the night. Oh, they could teach the rocks by example! You supply the rocks, I'll take care of our training facility. I see big things in our future.
