cheers You have forever changed my opinion of rats.

Smart, sweet and cuddly. Plus, I like when they take the food from me.

He was amazing. He won me over immediately.

I loved giving him his fruit.

Very cute, I think a pair will be my next pets.
Do you find males or females to be friendlier, smarter etc?
I'm still researching & thinking. LOL
I prefer my critters to have a friend but I don't want babies so 2 females - males will fight right?

I don't notice much difference in personality. They love attention and see very social.

I prefer males because they are larger...but they have ummm huge ummmm balls...so if you can get past feeling them all the time and feeling like you're violating them they are the best. There is just no way to avoid them.

Yes, always get rats in pairs. I would never just get one. They are too smart and too social to have them alone. I felt bad when one of mine died. He was 8 months alone. I just made sure he was out of the cage at least 2 hours out of the day. He would sit on my shoulder while I talked to him. I could do dishes, sweep and wash the floors...everything and he just liked being out and about.

I highly recommend them as a pet. They are honestly the best pets I have ever had.

Beautiful Hoodie.

I've been thinking of hairless ones but trying to talk myself out of it at the same time. Sad

I think they're so adorable. They have definite personalities. Always wanted to get them for our kids, but hubby grew up where water rats invaded the apartments. As kids they would wake up to find them on top of them in bed. Needless to say anything small, furry and with a long tail never came to live in our house.

Her name was Skinderella.

I love Rats, but in the end I chose to no longer keep them because of the heartache over their short lives, and the vet bills. Sad

Gorgeous pictures Hoodie.

They are absolutely adorable. I'd like to own a rat at some point.
