| Which do you prefer and why?
If you are using a cell phone powered by Android, what brand and model cell phone are you using? If using a Blackberry, which model?
Right now I have just your basic (no bells or whistles) cell phone, it's old and I need an upgrade as eventually it will just fall apart on me. I'm having a hard time trying to justify the cost of dataplans, etc. for a cell phone. But looking at the app features on some of these smart phones, they could really come in handy for work and home purposes.

| Only thing I would recommend is a slide out keyboard. Although I did hear the I phone has a vibrator app for the ladies now.

| I have a basic cell phone... but when my current contract is up (2 years) I plan to switch to the iphone. I have an itouch and its basically the phone without the phone capabilities and I like having games to play while I'm between clients. | |

| Funny I just heard about this, this is a story is from July 09.
Really? Yes, It's An iPhone Vibrator App
Apple has not been known for consistency in the AppStore approval process. Some thought that with the introduction of a rating system for parental controls the floodgates to adult content would be opened.
So far, this has not happened. An iPhone App showing photos of topless women was recently pulled, and a book reader was not approved because readers could access the Kamasutra. Apparently if you prefer to pleasure yourself without visual content then Apple approves.
MyVibe is available now in the AppStore, and has a parental control rating of 4+. The application is a creation of the online sex toy superstore MyPleasure.
Although some would call this a brilliant concept, the built-in vibrating motor isn't very powerful. Nonetheless, the AppStore page for the application explains:
Download it now and use it: At your desk On your couch On the kitchen table In the car when you're stuck in traffic At the movies When your kids are watching TV - and not you Or anywhere else you want a little massage with some targeted vibrating stimulation
The MyVibe app has 100 different speed/pattern settings and will keep running even if the screen is off to conserve battery life.
According to sexual health expert Dr. Sandor Gardos, "We always have customers asking us for more discreet vibrators, especially things that look like something else so that they can use it via travel, not worry about their kids finding them, etc. Given the ubiquity of the iPhone, it seemed like a natural choice."
MyVibe is free. Get it now before Apple yanks it.

I have a basic phone too and an iPod touch 64 GB. If I get the iPhone, it would have to be the 32GB one as my music, movies and apps won't all be able to fit on a 8GB and 16GB is pushing it. Sometimes I like to listen to a movie in the background while I'm at work working on something. Plus with an iPhone I could just have one device in my purse instead of carrying two (cell phone and iPod). My contract is up as of today, on the fence on which one to go with.

  If I get an iPhone, I won't be getting that app. Not sure I would want to be caught using my phone for that purpose either. Would make a video call interesting I guess.

| Not Blackberry. I have the Curve 8900 and I don't like it.
I haven't used an Android so I'm no help there.
I think the iphone is fantastic other than the touch typing. I like to have keys, though I suppose you'd get used to it.

| My personal cell phone is so old you would literally laugh some of your ass off if you saw it. It must be the first Nokia ever made.
For work I have a Blackberry Torch. Touch screen and pull out keyboard. I like the touch screen, but prefer the pull out keyboard for actual typing. Most of the fun stuff is disabled through the employer. I like it a LOT, but certainly do not require this "level" of cell phone for my personal life.

You're the first Blackberry user that I've come across who has mentioned that they don't like it. Thanks everyone for your responses. It's going to be a hard decision but so far I'm leaning towards the iPhone, for the reason that I can transfer most of the stuff from my iPod touch to the iPhone, which will leave me with one less gadget to carry in my purse.

| I have a blackberry and I really like it, it has everything I could ever want or need!! I'm with koodo to get away from long contracts and they don't have the iphone otherwise I think that would be my choice as there is so much more that they can do. | |

I think part of the reason I dislike it so much is because the hubby has an iphone I'm constantly comparing the two. The iphone is both faster and easier to use. The Blackberry has frozen at least 5 times in the year and a half I've had it. The reason I got it was for the actual qwerty keyboard. I was surfing online last week and saw you could buy a slide out keyboard for the iphone so I would much rather have that. I know when my contract comes up, I'll likely be switching away from the Blackberry. Hope that helps you in your decision. As an FYI, the hubby LOVES his iphone.
