When we went camping this weekend... my FIL got to watch "his buddy".... I may not have had to pay him... but I certainly paid. When we let him out of his kennel... I noticed that he had pooped in his bed, not even remotely normal for him.... Then I noticed that there was so much carrot in the poop that its pretty clear he was over fed. Then later that night he peed in the house, again, not at all normal. Since we got home yesterday Tanker has been very lazy and had the pewps. My poor little bugger has been over indulged this weekend. I'm hoping he feels better soon.

Your FIL sounds just like my in-laws. They are the same with our dog and I think they get a bit offended when I ask them not to feed our lab like that, he will eat and eat but then he pays for it later. I hope Tank feels better soon!!

I'm hoping so too. No matter how many times we've told him not to give him so many treats but I think he equates it with love. I am going to suggest to him that perhaps next time if he wants to spoil the dog he gives him toys instead... at least this way I know that he won't be eating it.

I agree about equating it with love, I tell them all the time that they are killing their own dogs with kindness.

Tank seems to be back to himself mostly tonight... a lot less lethargic. Hopefully he will continue to perk up.
